2019-2022 Conference Chair

Greetings,

It is with deep regret that the Olympic Logging Conference Board of Directors announces the postponement of the 75th Olympic Logging Conference to April 27-29, 2022.

Beginning in 1945, the conference has been held annually for 74 years. We were all anticipating a slam-bang celebration for the 75th in 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic forced the first delay in conference history. 2020 is now over, but COVID-related challenges and uncertainties continue. The pandemic recovery is taking longer than we all had hoped. It is unthinkable to put any member in the position where they could not attend by attempting to hold the conference too early.

The Board remains engaged and steadfastly dedicated to the conference. It is special to us all with its unique tradition of getting together in person, building and maintaining relationships, and staying informed of local and global situations and events that affect our businesses and our lives. By nature, our industry's success depends on long-distance connectivity and the conference provides a venue for us all to gather face-to-face with whom we conduct our business.

We would like to thank our speakers that have remained on board with us through rescheduling; the Empress and their staff for their cooperation; our sponsors who have supported us and make our conference possible; our past chairmen; and you, our membership, for your continued support in maintaining our Olympic Logging Conference traditions. We would also like to thank Carmen Smith, Kathy Schmit, Jodi Hillery and the Board for navigating through these unprecedented times and third round of adjustments.

All current room reservations and rescheduling arrangements are being honored by the Empress.

We keep you, your families, and your organizations in our thoughts during this challenging time and we look forward with great anticipation to celebrating a fantastic 75th Olympic Logging Conference with you all in April 2022.
